NARTS, National Association of Resale & Thrift Shops, is the world’s largest trade association representing the resale industry. We are in business to help resale store owners, managers and future owners succeed. NARTS is committed to raising awareness of the industry and to providing its members with professional development, educational opportunities and peer-to-peer networking. NARTS CODE OF ETHICS
This Enterprise is Committed to Ethical Behavior. As a member of NARTS: The Association of Resale & Thrift Stores, we have agreed to adhere to honorable business behavior as stated in this Code of Ethics. All members shall be bound by these business practices:
ENSURE rights to supplier confidentiality of privileged information received verbally, in writing or electronically.
THRIVE to achieve educational growth through continuing education, sharing of knowledge, expertise and skills to advance the resale industry.
HONOR written and oral agreements, striving for clarity and mutual understanding through complete, accurate and timely communications, while respecting legal and contractual rights of others.
IMPLEMENT clearly written return, exchange, consignment, layaway and similar policies.
COMMIT to the protection of the environment by responsible use of resources in the operation of your business.
SINCERELY represent and act within one’s areas of professional competency and authority without exaggeration, distortion or concealment.
Adherence to the Code of Ethics signifies professionalism, fair dealing and high integrity. Any member may be subject to revocation of membership if found to have materially breached any part of this Code.
NARTS CODE OF CONDUCT
NARTS events are designed to create a welcoming environment where members of the resale, consignment, and thrift community can learn, collaborate, and share ideas. All participants are expected to contribute to a professional, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere. Conference attendees and registered guests agree to conduct themselves in a manner appropriate for a gathering of resale professionals. Harassment, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior may result in the person being asked to leave the event, without refund, or facility, and may prohibit further conference attendance, at the sole discretion of the Staff and or Board of NARTS.
If you experience or observe behavior that concerns you at a NARTS event, please notify a member of NARTS staff or event leadership as soon as possible.

NARTS events bring together a wide range of professionals from across the resale industry. By participating, attendees help create an environment where everyone can learn, connect, and grow.
