Kitty Boyce, NARTS President, owns Remarkable Resale, formerly The Kids Closet, in Rochester, IL. She has been in business for almost 20 years and had the largest children's resale store in Illinois. Kitty is one of the most knowledgeable resalers in the children's specialty area and has first hand experience in reinventing and rebranding a store in direct response to CPSIA.

Kitty started in retail in 1972 at Montgomery Ward. In 1986 she went into banking, gaining valuable financial experience. In 1991, when her then 3 year old daughter had amassed a great deal of stuff, she decided to open her own resale shop.

A Day with Bonnie
Bonnie Kallenberg, owner of Finders Keepers in Atlanta, had a strong retail background prior to entering the resale industry that has been instrumental in growing her businesses.  She has a degree in Marketing and Retailing from Georgia State University and worked for Macy’s as a department manager and assistant buyer.

Bonnie purchased Finders Keepers in 1990 and has expanded the business from one 1500 sq. ft. location to 3 locations totalling 9600 sq. feet. She has moved a store, built a store, purchased and renovated a building for a store and purchased and revamped one of Atlanta's oldest designer consignment shops. Each store has it's own personality and niche and include a store for men, women and plus, a store for furniture and home goods, and a boutique for women's fashion forward and designer clothing and accessories.
