You will not be the only 1st time attendee—it's not unusual for a third of the group to be new to a NARTS meeting. However, no one is a wallflower at a NARTS meeting. Trust us, you'll make friends before breakfast is over. It's amazing how fast your circle of friends will grow. All of a sudden you are not alone at the Seminar and as an added benefit you'll have a group of peers you can call after the meeting when you need some advice or a little support. NARTS members and meeting attendees are the friendliest, most sharing group of people we've ever encountered!
Network, network, network! Don't hide... introduce yourself to as many people as possible. If you are attending the meeting with others from your shop or your local resale peers, don't get in the habit of always sitting with them. Be open to meeting new people. Switch tables at meals so you are sitting with someone you don't know... you'll meet some really great colleagues.
Casual Business Attire
Weather: The temperature in the Sacramento area in November averages from the low 70's to the mid 50's.
REMINDER: Meeting rooms are always cool, so PLEASE bring a sweater and/or jacket to assure your comfort!
♦ Business cards... to exchange with your peers.
♦ Extra tote bag or suitcase... so you can pack all the papers and goodies you accumulated during the meeting and resale shop bus tour.
We will have time for casual networking . . . peer-to-peer.
Registration will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sacramento hotel on Sunday, November 2nd from 8 to 9 AM. Name badges will be picked up on-site during registration. Badges are not mailed in advance. Each registered attendee must pick up their own badge. Be sure to have a valid photo ID available at registration.
There is an optional resale shop bus tour of NARTS member stores in the Sacramento area on Monday, November 3rd. You must register for the bus tour in order to participate.
The Fall Seminar will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sacramento hotel. Networking, learning, sharing and friendship with your peers doesn't start or end at the Seminar. Staying at the meeting hotel is the best part of the Seminar experience. It is also very convenient. The hotel not only offers great amenities, discounted rates and the best networking opportunities, but staying within NARTS room block will help us meet our obligation to the hotel and avoid penalties. Lastly, you won't find a nicer hotel in the area at the discounted room rates NARTS has negotiated for this meeting.
